Hello, and Welcome to CuriositiesOnMain!

After swearing I would never return to my hometown, four months after college graduation, I found myself headed south to the foothills of Colorado, and to the quaint town of Trinidad…rich in history and beautiful architecture.

One of the treasures Trinidad was blessed with for several years was a fabulous store named Curiosities, the place I learned about the world! With my many visits to the store, I became friends with the owner, Audrey, who with her amazing eye and fabulous spirit enriched our little community in many ways.

Through her travels Audrey brought the world to our tiny town and opened our eyes to the beautiful art that is created on all corners of the Earth. Africa, India, Thailand, Mexico, and of course those made right here in the good ol’ USA.

I was lucky enough to run Curiosities for five years, a learning experience on countless levels. I can thank Audrey for opening my mind and my eyes to the splendor and art the world has to offer!

Now that I have a little more time on my hands I find myself constantly ‘shopping’ – looking for something new and exciting or old and exquisite. For me, finding a treasure is almost as rewarding as finding its home. Matching a special piece with a special person is truly rewarding.

For now, I love living in small town America. One day soon (fingers crossed) I will be traveling the world visiting the places our little treasures come from and scooping up more to share with you.

Peace and Happiness,
~Jacki
