Hi,
I am retired but still dabbling in antiques and restorations and a little painting once in awhile. I have three grown children and good friends.
I have been in the art and restoration business for about 35 years. I have owned a couple of frame shops and galleries in Tulsa and Dallas. I moved to Los Angeles and apprenticed under a man who did restoration of art (paper mainly) for the Getty and the LA Museum of Art, and individual customers. Please tell me if I can help you with some restoration project you are attempting. It's a very interesting field. I found out everyone in this field is just guessing right now if their restorations are going to be reversible, or if they are helping preserve the artwork at all. Of course they are educated guesses backed up by chemistry.
Thanks for reading.
