I've spent a lifetime engaged in fine art: drawing, painting and design. But something happened when I received a little set of jewelry pliers as a gift. What began as a few repairs quickly burgeoned into obsession as I began re-purposing fragments of broken castoffs. Who knew anyone could be so excited over an earring that lost its mate?

Though the construction of my jewelry pieces is still rudimentary, the combinations of color, shape, texture, balance and proportion are rooted in a lifetime of artistic expression. I understand those relationships, and that understanding directs my choices.
