David Jacobson's Profile

About

I've been working with glass for over 20 years and am truly lucky to have found this great material. I love the heat and glow of the furnace, the movement and activity required by me to make each individual piece.
I was trained in the venetian style of glassblowing and have been fortunate enough to have studied with some great teachers from the U.S. and Europe, who include Lino Tagliapietra, Jiri Harcuba, and Elio Quarisa.
My wife and I moved to Maine 6 years ago. It's a beautiful state and the Maine landscape energizes me. I live close to the ocean, have a lake at the end of my road and am surrounded by long mountain views. How great is that? I hope this beauty and energy come across in my glass.
