About

I Have been turning for 12 years. Some of my experience is self taught. The best and most rewarding experience was instruction I recieved taking woodturning classes from an older gentelman who has been turning since 1931. He is now in his 90s and no longer teaches, but he was willing to share his years of experience. I learned about colors, grains, and interesting patterns in the wood. I learned about how wood fibres lay, about density of the wood, and tension in the wood. On some of my bowls I use a small amount of real turquoise stone that I crush and use for inlays. The color of the stone beautifully compliments the piece of work.

My work has been sold in galleries, at art shows and art festivals. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. I do all of the work myself in my wood shop. There are no " Elves working with or for me." It is truly hand crafted."
