I've always had yarn in my hands, since I was a child - my Cajun grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 8 years old. I taught myself to knit, then learned to spin and weave. I’m a member of the New Orleans Weavers Guild and the Handweavers Guild of America.
I love turning beautiful handpainted and handdyed fiber into lovely handspun yarns using my spinning wheels and spindles. I weave on large floor looms - my specialties are scarves, shawls, table runners and dishtowels. I weave home textiles from cotton and personal accessories from luxury fibers such as silk, rayon bamboo, tencel, and soft wools.
