About

People often ask me what inspires my jewelery pieces but once you glimpse into my studio it all becomes clear.
Reminiscent of a candy Shoppe, my studio is the culmination of childhood dreams for my own place to create and play!!! Surrounded by neat little rows of sparkling jars topped up with sweets, cute cupcake canisters and bon bon dishes of every description brimming with candy. Brightly colored glass rods, powders and frits tempt even the most reserved of artists to come and play like a child again.

This year I'll be bringing on a new collection called French Provence. If this sounds enticing, keep checking back! I'll be releasing it when we return from our travels late-Spring 2014.

-- About Me --
I discovered lampwork in 2004 at an arts festival. I fell in love with the thought of creating all the beads I imagined in my head. If I couldn't find it, I would just make it! Through my new skill, I found creative freedom and self-expression. When I began making candies and berries, I had finally found my passion!

My playful studio is a safe-haven when I need some fun in my life. You open the door and rows of sparkling jars, filled to the brim with little sweets, and colorful glass rods and powders beckon creative adventure. It's a world where I can become a child again, exciting my soul through the process of making.

In my free time, I feel drawn to give of myself. My husband and I adopt rescued dogs. I mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, an endeavor I've enjoyed for 10 years. And I regularly donate beads to Beads of Courage, an organization supporting children who are going through cancer treatment. I also enjoy pursuing my own development with interests including karate (I have a black belt now), traveling, graphic design, and website creation.

-- Bragging Rights --
1st prize in my category at Bead and Button in Milwaukee for a beautiful set of glass chocolates I created. Actress, Anne Heche purchased some of my candy jewelry for her nieces from New Small and Sterling, a glass blowing studio on Granville Island that displays some of my work.
