Q: Who are you and why are you making and selling your stuff?

A: I am a Professor, Student, Hobbyist, Artist, Bookworm, Nerd, Gamer, Dirt Bike Rider, and so much more. I like to think of myself as a "Jack of All Trades" intent on mastering all of those trades I pursue. I'm the studious type who loves to do lots of things, especially anything crafty. I love making beautiful, meaningful pieces and I love every piece I make, but alas, I have no room to keep it all, so instead of hoarding my beauties, I'm selling some of my hand made treasures.

Q: How did the name DecayIntoDust come about?

A: Well, I had those years in high school where I wrote depressing and sometimes morbid poetry. Some of it was quite bad (don't we all say that?), but I will admit to a few of my poems having a spark about them…

Q: How did the name DecayIntoDust come about?

A: Well, I had those years in high school where I wrote depressing and sometimes morbid poetry. Some of it was quite bad (don't we all say that?), but I will admit to a few of my poems having a spark about them. It was on one of those dark, creative days that I made a new email address. I was racking my brain for something that didn't have a number after it. I hate those numbers because it means that I didn't get to something first, and being as competitive as I am that was crushing. Anyways, I was thinking about death and Hamlet and how we all turn to dust someday and DecayIntoDust popped into my head. Better yet, no one had thought of it yet! At this point I decided to take the name and run with it, so here I am :D

Q: What makes DecayIntoDust items unique?

A: With the art and figurines that's easy to answer: everyone has their own style and methods of making things. Mine starts with a realistic base with whimsy thrown in added to a pinch of cartoon-ish mixed with a dash of anime-ish and topped with a dollop of memorable to me.

With my jewelry, I don't make something unless I would wear it. That means I don't make anything I don't think is pretty and beautiful. That takes a lot of time, mostly because most of the time I like a delicate look, which seems to be at odds with today's "Chunky, blocky, lets cover the girl from the neck up in massive jewelry so much so that the jewelry wears the girl out instead of vice versa" society.

Q: Want to say anything else about DecayIntoDust

A: My shop is very personal. When you look at the items in my shop you are looking at a piece of me. You are looking at what I think is beautiful, or cute, or has just the right touch of whimsicality to it. When you look at my shop you are getting to know me and I want to thank you for thinking that I am an interesting enough person that my shop warrants some of you precious attention.
