From 2006 to 2009 she apprenticed with a professional clothing designer and learned how to pattern, do alterations, and tailor garments. Brand and Inspiration:
Rosie strives to make her brand extremely eco-conscious. One of the main aspects of this is the use of sustainable materials like recycled fabrics and natural-fiber fabrics she dyes herself. She does everything possible to avoid waste in the production process, from dyeing fabric in small batches, to designing patterns in a way that virtually no fabric waste is produced (any small scraps are saved and used for applique or ruffles). Her clothing is feminine and artistic and very colorful. Her inspirations include flowers, nature, retro fashion, literature, movies, and the art of her favorite artists (Picasso, Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Gaugain, M.C.Escher, Magritte, Frank Frazetta, Georgia O'Keefe, Salvador Dali).

Growing up:
Rosie was born in the little artist hamlet and tourist town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Her parents are the artists Jenny Gies and Lynn Williams. Jenny and Lynn owned an art gallery in Eureka from 1984-1998. Jenny was a batik artist and jewelry maker, and Lynn was a clay sculptor and potter. They both worked in a naturalistic, fantasy style and are strong influences in Rosie's art.

Personal Life:
Rosie is married to her highschool sweetheart, Chris Rose, and they have two beautiful daughters, Ezra and Fiona, 4 and 0.
