Vintage jewelry and other Vintage items are of particular interest, to me. I have always enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting, Tin Can Art, and many other forms of art and crafts. Since I have always wanted to sell my creations and Vintage "finds", I have found Etsy to be the perfect place to have my own little shop.

I was born and lived in Southern California until 1985, when my husband and I moved to Washington State. We found a lovely, little city named Port Angeles, and we have been here ever since. We love having "nature" right in our own back yard, which we share with deer, racoons, squirrels, and an occassional chipmonk or two. We have all manner of birds including bald eagles, pheasants, mountain quail, bluejays, wood peckers, tiny chickadees, and everything inbetween. It is fun to harvest my own pie cherries and blue berries for cobblers and pies. In the winter, we watch snow falling, right out of our window, creating a peaceful, white world all around us. Within 30 minutes drive we can drive to the top of the mountain, or out to the lake. And, when we want to, we can take the Coho Ferry over to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, to have Tea and Crumpets at the "Empress". Trading sunny California for a colder, wetter climate wasn't an easy transition, for me; but, I, now, feel that this is my "home" and I may never have developed my artistic talents if I hadn't come to the rock strewn rivers and beaches that provided the inspiration for the beginning of my Ishi Art. Amoung nature and a slower pace of life I developed my artistic pursuits. Art is, now, one of my passions, and I have developed an expression of painting on stones that is unique. I represent my art as "Ishi" (which translates rock or stone, in Japanese). You can see my art in my etsy gallery ( http://www.ishigallery.etsy.com ). I, also, started creating hand beaded jewelry, in 2009, to add to my gallery. That became an obsession and led to the opening of my jewelry shop, on Etsy, called JewelrybyIshi, at: http://www.jewelrybyishi.etsy.com .
