Hi! Welcome to my wall art shop! And a one woman art show...

The ArtFromDenise wall art and home decor line is not mass produced or sold in department stores. Nothing is kept in stock. Each high quality item is made exclusively for each customer. Canvas wall art orders are usually ready to ship within 3-5 business days and the other home decor items usually ship within ten business days.

A bit about me...
Art is my life. My kids are grown and have families of their own, so as an empty nester, I focus on my passion.

Before joining Etsy, I traveled extensively painting murals and faux finishes in homes and businesses, working on interior design projects, and creating custom paintings for clients. Eventually, I got to the point of just wanting to settle down in one spot and paint what I wanted to paint - from the comfort of my own studio. So that's exactly what I did. After buying and remodeling my home in the Texas Hill Country to include my 'dream' studio, I painted non-stop for about two years and finally launched my first Etsy shop in September, 2013 (ArtFromDenise.com). I'm truly grateful that it's been so well received and that I have the absolute best customers in the world!

Most of my art features shades of blue, teal, turquoise, aqua, and jewel tones. My favorite colors.

In addition to colors that make me happy, my artwork is inspired by, well, EVERYTHING. Not just all those cookie cutter reasons that so many artists include in their bio. Sure, nature inspires me. So does chocolate cake. These days, unless it's birds, birch trees, a sunset or seascape, I mostly paint in an abstract style, never know what will inspire me, usually follow my gut feeling, and rarely plan the design of an art piece or have any clear direction for the painting. Or what style it will be. I guess you could say it's a totally organic process. Color drives the direction most of the time. Mood affects everything. And sometimes it's a vague concept based on an uncommon dream I had that just stays with me until I let it materialize on canvas. Most of the time, I'm not sure if it's me controlling the paint or a higher power. Especially when a painting turns out 100x better than I could ever imagine. Some things are just meant to be. Seriously, I think that invisible power is what drives most talented artists. Visual and otherwise. It's a passion we're born with for many reasons. Sometimes we're conscious of what's driving us, sometimes we're not. But, the biggest rewards always come when we tune in, let go and let it flow.

Above all, we're meant to share it with the world.

The right art makes people happy! Having someone love what I pour my heart and soul into makes me happy. It’s definitely a win win and back around again!

I've followed that passion as a creative entrepreneur, artist and designer for 35+ years. In many different directions. And it has blessed my life over and over. But, my first love has and will always be 'painting'. Design and decorating is next in line. Which is why it made perfect sense to offer uncommon home decor items featuring my art. I believe our homes should be sanctuaries that surround us with comfort, color, beauty and things we love.
