Welcome to Kentucky LiveEdge! My name is Drew Gahafer. I focus on creating quality live edge furniture; tables, tabletops, desks, and benches. Producing functional pieces of art, one slab at a time, using only locally and sustainably harvested wood from Kentucky forests and urban areas is my passion. I'm highly selective of the purpose and character that each board possesses. If by chance a portion of the board needs to be removed, I'll hold on to those scraps and create smaller items out of them such as coat racks, cutting boards, serving platters, etc. I believe in upcycling materials, being resourceful, and treading lightly while using creativity heavily.

The majority of the lumber that I use are like second children to me, as I see them through the cycle from a fellen log to fine furniture. There is a lot of time and sweat equity that goes into taking care of each slab of wood long before the wood is actually dry, stabilized and ready to be worked. My deepest satisfaction comes from hearing enthusiasm and excitement once clients receive their orders. Besides creating stuff that I like, I'm also up for creating custom pieces if a client has specific needs. Let me know how Kentucky LiveEdge can help add some rustic, modern, contemporary, and functional art to your home or business. Thanks for viewing my etsy shop!
