My handmade books are created using snips from decorative paper, clips from greeting cards, scraps of textured fabric, and bits of pressed flora found during outdoor adventures with my family near my home in Cartersville, Georgia. We always take time to investigate flower petals, a colorful feather, an interesting weed, or the ultimate find -- a butterfly wing.
Each book I make is completely unique. Once my design is drawn together, I mount the pieces on a recycled hardback book cover. I aquire most of the books while volunteering at our local public library's used book sale. Then, I fill each with hand-cut paper or pad the insides for a kindle fire cover.
Now that you know how my books have been crafted, it’s your turn. Fill the pages by scribbling secrets or statistics, poetry or prayers, ambitions or accomplishments, sketches or stories. It is my hope that your imagination will be inspired…
