About

I spent 35 years in the dental field, part of that as an orthodontist assistant bending wire. I have always enjoyed creating things. About 13 years ago, my daughter, my mother and I took a week long jewelry class at Applachian State University in North Carolina. It was love at first sight! I was hooked! I had been thru a bad divorce and I needed something else other than looking at teeth all day. One night I had a dream, God showed me how to make crosses out of wire. I kid you not. Anyway, I must have made hundreds. And I still make them special order when people ask me too. No two are ever the same.

My second love is gemstones. As a child I loved rocks and gemstones. Growing up my grand parents had a summer home in North Carolina and every time we went to visit I begged to go to the gem mines. It is just amazing how many different stones there are all over the world…

It is just amazing how many different stones there are all over the world. They are so beautiful to me - truely a miracle of God! I can spend days looking for gemstones to create new pieces with!

After going to bead showes for several years, I discovered fused glass had my attention! How could I combine the two. So I started fusing glass and just love it.

About 5 years ago, I met a wonderful Catholic man who has supported my obsession! A friend of his who knew I made jewelry asked me to make a rosary for his father. So I did! And I really enjoyed it and it continued to inspire me to make things for God. As you see in my work my pieces are very varied and different.

I do alot of special order items jewelry, Rosaries and even wedding jewelry! I am constantly looking for new and exciting techniques to experiment with! If you have any questions or projects you would like me to do for you my e-mail address is diane.trum [!at] yahoo.com. Please add me to your favorites list because I put new things on daily. Thank you for taking the time to view my creations and May God Bless you.
