About

I have been creating for as long as I can remember--but professionally a figurative artist for only a few years.

Faeries, elves and things of pleasant dreams are the theme for most of my award winning creations.

My sculptures have been featured in "The Evening Tribune" a local newspaper and in "Dolls United" unfortunately now defunct. They were chosen as cover dolls twice for Goddess Dolls yahoo group and have been finalists in various shows and competitions. Two of my sculptures, an elf and a faery, were the main interest in a display at the Hornell Public Library devoted to "Dolls as a form of Art". This was to promote doll making--which has been considered a "lost art" in the community, a display at the Canisteo Elementary School of tiny faeries to encourage the children to read by using 3D sculptures.

I have had my sculptures displayed at "Dimensions in Doll Making" in San Diego, "AFIC" in Columbus, Ohio, "Teddy Bear and Doll Expo" in Washington, DC, "Ontario County ATA Art Gallery", at the "Rocky Mountain Sew Expo/Denver Doll Artisans Art Nouveau Challenge" where my sculpture won a Blue Ribbon and Best Story Category, at Comic Con in San Diego, the Discworld Convention, and soon to be released DVD'S by artist Patti Medaris Culea feature my Luna Cobalta! I am also featured in Pamela Hastings "Hot Flash" book.

I am of Celtic heritage--branches of it Royalty--and as recorded in the family manuscript, born with certain "gifts" that would not have been healthy attributes in the 1600's. I feel that my interest in fantasy has its roots in family lore and has developed into using my talents in the form of needlecraft.
After many years of experimenting with various handcrafts--some with success--others an expensive learning experience--my sculptures represent the results of many years of perfecting my skills in sculpting cloth.

Sewn entirely by hand, using only top quality materials, these creations are OOAK, no factory carbon copy knockoffs, results determined by fate--as if my dolls know what THEY want to be and guide me in their creation. I create as inspiration leads. occasionally using patterns of well known figurative artists to refresh my outlook--credit always given when their designs have been used.

My sculptures are not child safe--but highly collectible art forms--due to usage of beads and other embellishments.

Mandatory deposit required for commissioned sculptures. Layaway plan also available upon request. Due to the One Of A Kind status of our creations we are unable to accept returns and no refunds will be issued...sorry...but we are firm on our policy as this ensures the quality and collectible importance of our creations.

I am currently creating couture for large dolls and toddlers which I have added to my collection. Although these petite couture items are not entirely hand sewn as my sculptures are..there is still the attention to detail that DibbleDabble1Dolls is well known for by all our loyal customers and fans.

It is a pleasure to offer them here--in the presence of other very talented artists!

Although at this time my feedback at ETSY doesn't reflect my credibility, buyers may feel free to check on feedback left at Ebay.com look for dibbledabble1dolls. The feedback shows my honesty and extremely quick response to transactions.

I welcome critique and any questions about my creations.
