Dianne Culbertson-Jacques' Profile
I began my career in the arts while living in Hawaii in 1985. I began with Sumi-e, also known as Chinese Brushstroke under the direction of Claudia Suen. My Sumi-e paintings are held in private collections in several countries.
That was the beginning of my journey into the arts. From there I began knitting, felting and embellishing the bags and hats I made which led me into the work of beading and later beadweaving and design, which I have enjoyed immensely. In the Fall of 2015 I finally succumbed to my long-time desire to work in metals, mainly copper and silver. I learned I had a natural ability in this medium, advancing very quickly an in December of 2015 I sold over $1400.00 of my designs in a small, local gallery. I continue to experiment and learn in my home metalsmith studio…
