Robin's Profile

About

My name is Robin. I am a 100% disabled Army veteran, married to a retired Army veteran. I have always carried some kind of camera with me even if I only had room for a small disposable one. Photographs are a way of keeping a small moment in time with us. Those moments that make us catch our breath, laugh, or even cry.

I make everything in a smoke free environment. I have two very faithful shadows, a toy poodle and a bichon frise.

My husband and I moved to Kodiak, Alaska several years ago when he got a job with the Coast Guard (Semper Paratus.) I fell in love with the island as we watched it come in to view from the deck of the ferry. The wildlife is abundant, you can see eagles, bears, fox , Sitka black tail deer, puffin, humpback and orca whales the list is long. My camera is always with me, you never know when or where…

My husband and I moved to Kodiak, Alaska several years ago when he got a job with the Coast Guard (Semper Paratus.) There are so many things here to inspire creativity. Along with that there are challenges. You can only get to Kodiak by plane or boat, so coming or going can be a challenge. Weather changes can be swift and extreme from high winds, fog or snow and ice. Getting stuck on or off island is normal. So getting supplies, getting and receiving mail is included in the challenges. When you fly somewhere you take a empty suitcase so you can shop.

Everything is expensive in Alaska (even more on an island) and cost more to ship. So I do everything I can to keep my prices down. As for shipping, one set of coasters fit in a small flat rate box, two sets need a bigger box. So I can get the price for shipping to your address if you e-mail me first. I will also do that for international shipping.
