Hi there! After years of working on Capitol Hill and then an 18 month road trip down the PanAmerican Highway (all the way to Argentina!), I have settled in St. Petersburg, FL with my wonderfully patient and supportive husband.
This transition in life has given me the opportunity to do what I love – create. Everyday I get to wake up and make something tangible with my hands, reinvent old fabrics and cast-off clothing into something beautiful and functional, a true win-win.
I have had the fortune to travel to places far and wide, sometimes with a backpack on my shoulders, sometimes with our 1995 Toyota 4Runner outfitted to camp throughout the Americas, but I was always frustrated by the lack of options for a good handbag. A seemingly simple request, but yet, so elusive.
Purses are either cute and completely useless in storing things securely and conveniently, or ugly and functional. Why can they not be both fashionable AND functional? They can, and Spring Green Handbags is the answer. Through passion, experience, and many hours designing, cutting, and sewing, Spring Green Handbags was born with one goal in mind – to upcycle fabrics to create the ideal clutches and handbags for every woman, for every use.
Please feel free to message me with any questions or special requests. A woman’s choice of handbag is such a personal decision - I will work to meet your handbag needs.
