About

Hello and welcome Rachelle Currie here artist and owner of dog hound blues.

First off I must tell you that I have never enjoyed the process of describing myself-but once again I will give it my best effort.

I wandered aimlessly through my adolescent years (full of mischief), my teen age years (I quit high school at sixteen) and my twenties (I did pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree in Geography. Geography? Yes, Geography). Upon waking up in my thirties I found myself in a corporate job (which by the way had nothing to do with my degree) making more than an average income and wondering what just happened. About

Hello and welcome Rachelle Currie here artist and owner of dog hound blues.

First off I must tell you that I have never enjoyed the process of describing myself-but once again I will give it my best effort.

I have always loved to create from as far back as I can remember, knowing that however did not mean that the start out of life’s gates was an easy one. So I quit that job and went back to the work that was always fulfilling-making stuff.

I actually did acquire a formal degree (and some more debt) in painting and drawing, however, the verdict is still out on if my efforts were to my benefit (getting the piece of paper not the work itself). It certainly did not help my financial portfolio. Just kidding?

What I enjoy most is taking an idea and have it come to life in a two or three dimensional form; I like being creative.

I hope you enjoy this series which is on going and be sure to look for new products featuring "my dogs" such as mugs and tee shirts.

I also love dogs.
