After 30+ years as a legal assistant, plus 8 more as a Realtor, I was forced to leave my full-time work in order to be caregiver to my mother and another relative. Accepting this as a blessing, I began to write as therapy for my mind and creating artful pieces.
However, realistically, I knew I had to find something I could do from home to earn a fairly decent living. Tapping into my creative mind, I could think of nothing.
Then, on the eve of Mother's Day, 2010, I went into a panic when I realized I had no gift for my mother. At the midnight hour, I was digging around in the garage through old craft projects, trinkets and a bag of dusty, musty silk flowers.
