About

Hello. Thank you for viewing my dolls. I have been a porcelain doll maker for over 24 years. I began my career in my hometown, Chillicothe, OH. I saw beautiful handmade porcelain dolls at an art show and was fortunate enough to later be able to take lessons from the creator of these dolls. After months of lessons in all areas of porcelain doll making, I was hired at a small doll factory in southern Ohio as a painter. I gained valuable experience in making all types of dolls from antique reproductions to modern dolls. In 1995, my husband and I moved to Louisiana where I opened my own studio. For several years, we traveled to doll shows throughout Texas and Louisiana. Our next move took us to North Carolina where I continued to make dolls. We have now retired back to Chillicothe to be close to children and grandchildren. I hope to continue making my doll for many more years…

My dolls are all one of a kind, made one at a time, never mass produced. They are my own interpretation of dolls made from molds of others. I do all my own casting, cleaning of the greenware, firing and china painting. With the exception of the tiny dolls in crocheted clothing, all of the clothing are original and my own designs. The crocheted clothing are handmade by several talented ladies who live in Michigan, UK, and Scotland.

Many of the older type dolls have a story as to their origins. I do some research on these dolls and try to include this in the dolls description. I love these stories and think you will too.

My dolls come from a non-smoking, but pet friendly home. Besides myself and my husband, we have a shih tzu named Gracie, an American boxer named Sebastian, and two rescued black labs Maximillion and Gypsy.

I am the mother of two and the grandmother of six. My husband and I live on a mini farm which has been in our family for over 15o years..
