When I was a wee girl, I wished my dolls would come to life so I could feed them tiny bread, sew them teeny socks and make their tiny beds. With the exception of the bread, I quickly realized I could do those things without the whole semi-creepy ‘coming to life’ part. I learned that not only could I make things for the dolls, I could make the dolls themselves. Sculpted dolls, sewn dolls, clothes pin dolls, miniature dolls, doll art busts… My name is Jessica Hamilton and I am a doll-a-holic. :)

I live in beautifully rainy Washington state. In addition to creating handmade dolls and art, I also teach sculpting and doll making workshops. I develop a lot of new ideas in the wee hours of the night, but I rarely stray far from doll forms. All of my creations are my own design/execution.

And here are some random things you may not know about me:
☂ I love to fold freshly laundered towels. I take absolute delight in forming precise stacks of perfectly folded towels.
☂ I have a West Highland white terrier (westie) named Emma.
☂ I am such a sucker for engaging period dramas. I have seen BBC’s Pride & Prejudice dozens of times. I can recite lines of dialogue for you.
☂ I am afraid to stand with my bare toes beneath a counter ledge because a spider might be lurking there.
☂ In Kindergarten, I made my boyfriend an original lamb sculpted from felt and batting. He gave me a sloppily colored GI Joe picture. We broke up soon after.
