About

Dos Manos Art became official in 2007, but the art began in 1982 as I painted on skateboard ramps and inside my Grandmother's garage in El Monte, CA. I've always enjoyed painting abstract art on canvas, with my biggest influence being Jackson Pollock. More recently, I've begun to make art out of items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. As a former skateboarder (the knees are too far gone now), I have found a perfect balance of being earth friendly, working with skateboards and other trash and creating art.
