Iowa native, now residing in Cape Coral, Florida, Linda Hawkins learned to crochet from her grandmother when she was six years old. She graduated from Iowa State University with a B.A. in Craft Design majoring in metalsmithing and fabric design.
It was there that she first combined her love for metals and her love of crochet. For the past thirty years she has worked on mastering her craft. Her award winning work has been on display at the National Bead Museum in Phoenix Arizona. She was featured in an article written by Lynn Sutton for the Wire Artist Jeweller Magazine, and has appeared in Bead and Button Magazine. Her work was also chosen by Artistic Wire Ltd. To be used in their print advertising.

Dragonswire Art Jewelry is hand-crocheted by Linda using a crochet hook and a spool of wire. Linda’s pieces are one of a kind.
