Donna Stern's Profile

About

I believe that its never too late to try something different. I'm living it. I am permanently disabled now after spending the better part of the last decade in and out of hospitals. Its cost me my job, most everything I own and almost cost me my life. But I'm still here and I'm still kicking. I have always wanted to be an artist but I couldn't draw. I didn't pursue it but I always loved art and felt I had an eye. Now, my disability has allowed me an opportunity to change direction. Photography allows me to express my creativity and I am moving around and getting physical therapy and working on my mobility,

I try to remember that I am here and I am grateful to be here. Not many people get a second chance. I try to remember to practice kindness and compassion to honor this chance.
