About

David Witt, aka DWITT, has been creating his unique brand of illustration full time for over 12 years. Armed with a pencil, paper, ink, brush, & pen, he cut his teeth in the gigposter world in the early 2000's, creating nearly 500 posters in his wake and having his work published in 'The Art of Modern Rock' and 'Gigposters Volume 1'. While churning out the hand drawn posters, he shifted into freelance illustration creating work for The Zombie Pub Crawl, The Beer Dabbler, The Growler, Nike, The Heavy Table, Guitar Hero II, 3M, The City Pages, Seattle Weekly, and a large assortment of t-shirt designs, album covers, and beer labels. Along the way he also produced countless original paintings and drawings for exhibitions in the Twin Cities and around the world, as well as several murals within the Twin Cities metro area.

He is now focused on his childhood dream career of creating comic books for a living, and he works on his projects late into the night down in the basement studio of his house in St Paul, MN while trying not to disturb his sleeping wife, son, and two dogs upstairs.
