Karen L Pennebaker's Profile

About

I live on 112 acres of "almost Heaven, West Virginia" in the woods with my husband, Ken. Whether I'm painting on canvas, carving a woodblock, making jewelry or making a woven bag on a board, I'm having fun and always looking for new ways to create interesting things. In the past, I've taught classes in everything from oil painting and block printing to decoupage and paper mache art. I homeschool my youngest grandson (I also homeschooled his sisters, who also live with us), raise a vegetable garden, have some interesting chickens and have designed our next house which we may eventually get around to building. My older granddaughter raises dairy goats and the kids have rabbits and dogs, too. I designed the last house here but it burned in 2010 and we've been "camped out" in an old tin can of a trailer and a cabin since then. Ken and I have been adding a room to the tin can as we seem to have acquired too much "stuff" to fit in here…
