I live, with my family and Trees, our German pinscher in Oostvoorne. You know .. in that village known for the most hours of sunshine, as the loveliest, the greenest, the most cultural from The Netherlands and is situated down by the North sea.

I entered art school in 1991 and in the early years I was working part-time at the same time. Ten years later I managed to become a full-time artist.

Initially I hired a studio a few miles from home. Later on, we added a studio to our house and since then I am working at home most of the time. That also meant that I am practically always at work and I enjoy that very much. Since August 2015 till now I also have my owns gallery in the Centre of my Hometown. That is much fun, because you keep in contact with your customers.

The most used subjects for my paintings and photographs are animals and cars, but not always. I also like to portray a pun or make industrial photographs. I often get a commission to make a painting or photograph but I also let my imagination run wild from time to time and make what comes into my mind. That feels like a good balance.

Many of the results of my paintings and photos end up as greeting cards. And my last product which I take much pride in is that very same card but glued on a wooden panel. Thus making multiples that can be arranged by the collectors themselves. You will see a few examples at my shop presentation.
