About

I got into this industry through my passion for design and a curiosity for graphic arts. I started out working with my family and friends, creating unique wedding and shower invitations for their most important life events. I had so much fun doing it that I began to consider a career change. My friends and family eventually convinced me to go into business, and Katherine Elizabeth Events was born. From invitations, I branched out to event stationery (programs, place cards, menus, thank you notes, etc.) so that my clients' unique style permeates every aspect of the event we are working on.

In 2014 I had a wedding of my own, and made all of my flowers by hand out of paper--from the bouquets (9 total) to the boutonnieres (21) and all the flowers for the tables (I couldn't even tell you the total!). It was a crazy endeavor, on top of everything else I did for my own wedding, but the effort…

It was a crazy endeavor, on top of everything else I did for my own wedding, but the effort totally paid off! The biggest feedback I got from my guests and wedding party were how amazing all the flowers turned out. Everyone took them from the tables at the end of the night, and they live on as interior decor in the homes of our friends and family. Through this process, I decided to add these beautiful works of art to my business. I LOVE it! It is such a rewarding part of what I do, and I'm so grateful I discovered a new passion.

In my free time I enjoy dancing, cooking, golfing, skiing, photography, eating delicious food and sipping on good wine. I am originally from Boston and recently relocated to St. Louis, MO. The nice part of my business is that I can take it anywhere--I love meeting clients face to face, but modern technology provides me the opportunity to work with design clients thousands of miles away.

I'd love to work with you! Most of the work I do is completely custom, but check out my shop to see past designs I'm now offering for sale.
