When I've started to research some informations about Japan for my Japanese language classes I fell in love with the beautiful hair ornaments which maiko (girl learning to become a geisha) wear. After half a year of collecting materials about it and looking at thousand pic of those girls I've started to create my own flowers. :)

KANZASHI

are traditional Japanese hair ornaments to wear with the kimono.
Tsumami hana kanzashi are made by starching and cutting into small squares out of silk which afterward are folded into a shape of petals and attached together using rice glue to form a flower.

Nowdays those small pieces of art we can see on Maiko and Geiko.

My aim is to create the most traditional pieces as well with making modern ones which can be worn with everyday clothes or formal wear as well as cosplays and lolita fashion.
