Kelsey Byram's Profile

About

I am an artist and performer living near Kansas City.

Things that fascinate me: ethnic textiles, ancient ritual garb, half-forgotten religions, a garden after a rainfall, the exposed rocky shell of the earth’s skin, and the mesmerizing pull of firelight against the darkness.

I grew up in a lush garden oasis in the city - my parents transformed the acre of land around our house into a haven of lilies, lambs-ear, and hosta plants. We traveled around the U.S. quite a bit, and everything from the kudzu-covered landscapes in Mississippi to the beautiful layers of rock in Yellowstone have inspired my love for natural beauty.
