About

When I was 7 years old, we lived in Granada, Spain in an old house that had wonderful Moroccan architecture and had one of the tunnels that had originally been used to sneak provisions into the Alhambra during the siege. The owner of the home was a famous jewelry designer in Spain, and I used to sit quietly for hours watching her create. She would let me play with little scraps and make things of my own.

Now 30 years and many years of metalsmithing later, I have realized the dream of opening my own studio. The uniqueness to my jewelry comes from selecting each stone personally, or even cutting them myself from slabs, and then creating a design using handmade findings and metal accents to build a piece of jewelry that is a work of art.

While I certainly know what the Pantone colors of the season are, and what is in the fashion magazines, I basically design for myself. If I'm going to Santa Fe soon to catch my brother in a show at the opera, I am probably working with turquoise and textured silver, if I have a board meeting or a fund raiser coming up, it is probably something simple and classic with pearls or smaller gemstones. Recently, I have added small sterling charms that are wax cast using the Lost-wax casting process.
I would love a chance to design something unique and special for the woman you are and the places you are going in life.
