Elizabeth StineReed's Profile
Every time we would head out to a drumming circle, to the beach or for a hike in the mountains I would look at my beautiful solid silver head, open holed, concert flute with longing. If you are like me those are prime place to sit and play. They are not, however, terribly conducive to the health of a delicate instrument. I have several durable recorders, but nothing sounds quite as lovely as a transverse flute. Native American flutes sound beautiful, but a good one is quite expensive. I started looking for an alternative that was inexpensive, had beautiful sound, could stand up to the rigors of sand and moisture and impacts and still sound like the day I bought it. I never found the solution, so we decided to make one! Come play with us!
