Hello and Welcome to my shop!

I've known how to sew since my first home economics class in the 7th grade. And I've used my stellar straight line sewing skills :) sporadically throughout my teens and early twenties. In my late twenties I found the courage to branch out and make some curtains and pillows.

But it was during my second pregnancy that my love of sewing really broke through. As I shopped for my second daughter, I saw dozens of adorable items and started to think "I could make those". So I did. And then the people around me began to notice and ask me to make them a version. Or they asked if I could make X instead.

Before I knew it I was sewing daily, fillings naps and evenings with cutting, ironing and stitching. It truly is something that I love and am passionate about.

But by the summer of 2012, I found myself getting frustrated with the lack of fun, modern quilting fabrics available locally. Even online, there was a sever shortage of Canadian shop where I could buy the fabrics I loved. With shipping costs from out of country so high, it was hard to justify ordering as often as I would have liked. So I decided to start carrying modern quilting cottons from Moda.

Throughout 2013, I will be exponentially expanding the fabric lines I carry. I hope to eventually carry all of the Bella Solids and a wide variety of patterned collections.

Please feel free to wander around my shop. I'm sure there will be something that calls out your name.
