Karen Coulsey Ellis' Profile

About

I grew up in Portland, OR and have spent the majority of my life here. I began drawing and taking pictures at a young age. In 1984, my dad received a 35mm Minolta for Christmas, which I quickly commandeered and began shooting roll after roll of film. My day to day life is filled with love, laughter, and a crazy house full of boys! Even our dog is a boy . . . I'm petitioning for a girl dog for some balance around here. I wouldn't change it for the world, though. My boys are full of spit, fire, and vinegar; they have imaginations that take them from gold mining and joisting to fighting fires and crime. I hope to encourage them the way my parents did, to try anything they want, fail inorder to learn, and succeed at what their hearts desire.
