My real name is Lisa Ystrom and Elsa Coburn is my jewelry making alter-ego. Everyone has such a hard time with my last name so I came up with something that was much easier to remember.
I love beads and I have been making jewelry for family and friends for almost twenty years and when I heard about Etsy, I thought it sounded like a great opportunity. I love getting, giving and making jewelry. And as far as I’m concerned, a woman can never have too much of it.
I make what I would want to wear, what I look for and can’t find. I am usually inspired by the beads themselves, but sometimes I will have someone specific in mind when I am making a piece. After a trip to Venice, Italy a few years ago I discovered glass foil beads. I also love to use crystals, freshwater pearls, Czech beads and other glass beads.
