About

My favorite time of the day is spent in my jewelry room, under bright craft lights, with my two dogs laying either under my desk or in front of it, listening to music and working with beads. I would make jewelry even if I had no outlet to sell it. It is my moment in time to think, create, and feel relaxed and rejuvinated all at the same time. I can't imagine not being able to make jewerly.

My friends are my inspirations for the pieces that I make. I think of their tastes, personalities, and life experiences. Their jokes, their ideals, their passions and their fears lend themselves to my jewelry designs, color choices and styles.

I've been making jewelry since 1985. I started my business while still in college at LSU in 1988, had a shoppe called Mystic Gemcraft that sold works by local artists, as well as my own. This shoppe closed in 1995,…

I've been making jewelry since 1985. I started my business while still in college at LSU in 1988, had a shoppe called Mystic Gemcraft that sold works by local artists, as well as my own. This shoppe closed in 1995, then I re-opened under the name Under The Surface from 1996 till 2004. I now have a normal 9-5 job, have jewelry on consignment in town, and sell my line of purple and gold jewelry in front of Slinky's on football home game days. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in carrying my jewelry on consignment. My email addy is eakoro [!at] gmail.com. I also do local festivals, and donate part of my sales to local dog rescue. I have a section called All for Dog Rescue. It is what it says..100% of the profits of the items sold in that section go to dog rescue. You are welcome to message me with any questions. Thanks!
