Eva Daneville's Profile

About

Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by my tiny, smoke free textile studio located in Denmark, near the beautiful but harsh North Sea.
This is where I grew up, where I have my roots and from where my life is now unfolding. Despite my love for Denmark and everything Danish, I left it all behind 30 years ago, crossing the gray Atlantic to explore and live the American way of life, which was so easy to fall in love with! The years "over there" were wonderful and educational in so many ways, and my admiration for the American people is endless.
Yet the pull of Denmark became stronger with time, and a couple of years ago I returned. I left behind my son, who truly is an American, and brought back with me a positive English speaking husband. We found our new way of life rewarding and exciting, although not always easy.

There was hardship - Cancer came into our family - scary, ugly and draining. Sleepless nights followed by days filled with wildly changing emotions between hope and hopelessness.
It was during that trying period Eva Scott Design was started. Designing unique textile items assisted me during the stressful time, and I am convinced it saved my sanity! And, yes, we overcame and I have thereby become a grateful, wise and weathered woman, who takes nothing for granted.
We now support National Cancer Research by donating $3.00 for every sale we make, to hopefully assist other families overcome and who may go down this road.
My inspiration comes from life itself! Everything around me can be a source of new ideas. A small piece of antique lace, the architecture of an old building, the gracefulness of wild swans in flight, the muted colors of a landscape, or a simple walk on the beach, anytime during the year.
PS: I have sold around 475 different totes-bags-purses and pillows on my Danish website:- www.evascott.dk , and I now want to expose my creations to my family and friends in the USA and all other countries
