My name is Jaimie and I began sewing at the age of 10. My mother taught me on an old foot pedal type machine. It was going good until until I ran the needle through my finger and had to scream for her to come release me from the grip of the Singer! I gave it up for a few years, out of fear I'm sure, until I took home economics in junior high. With the help of a fantastic teacher I picked up fabric and started sewing again. I made my first shirt that year, a hideous red white and blue number but I was so proud! I have to give gratitude to that teacher, Mrs. Garrison, because she hung in there and really exposed all her girls in class to other cool stuff like fashion shows, luncheons, and teas! I really loved that lady....
Nowadays I've added crafts of all kinds to my experience. Painting, decoupage and altered arts are some of favorite expressions of myself. I hope you enjoy looking at my items as…
