Two keys to my designs are experimentation and improvisation. Each piece comes together like a sculpture or a painting. Since I was a dancer, both choreographer and performer, improvisation has been a natural part of my design process. This is the way I used to choreograph. I never counted or named the steps. My jewelry design is similarly intuitive. When it comes naturally, you can see it in the work - it breathes and has life.
My entire professional life has centered on intense studies in the visual and performing arts. My core strength in both areas is improvisation.
