MASKS
I've been creating leather masks for over 15 years.   I cut each one out with a razor knife.  I then sculpt each mask by hand,  heat harden each one so it retains it's shape and paint and seal each one individually. My masks are each unique, perhaps similar in design, but never exactly the same. Check out many of my past works on my facebook page, Faerywhere Masks.

SHIPPING
I use recycled boxes whenever possible.  I wrap each mask in tissue paper, then put it in a plastic bag to protect it on its journey, then box and send with delivery confirmation.  I include simple care instructions with each package. IN CASE YOUR CURIOUS about me---- I am a woman called Charlie, i don't know why my parents chose that, but it seems to fit me well.

I’ve called my business Faery! Where? as a kind of pun, as I have always been keeping an eye open for the faeries.
I live at small bird sanctuary in Mendocino, not too far from the beautiful coastal town of Ft Bragg.

I actually have had no formal training in anything I make, I’ve learned all I know myself, through trial and error. My artistic inspirations come from nature, mythology, fairy tales and often I return to certain ideas again and again. Making things has always been important to me and I have a drive to create all kinds of different things. I find myself working on several projects at once sometimes and get such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when they come to be completed.

I've tried many areas creatively over the years and now I find myself mask making which I adore. I love to make art, out of anything I can get my hands on. My biggest project to date, was a 14 foot tall sun gate made from salvaged scrap metal. I know it was great because someone stole it off my driveway! I've made wire art fairy and mermaid sculptures, wildwood birdhouses, welded art gates. I sew upcycled material into fun costumes. I'm trying my hand at painting, doll making, and I plan on doing more.

My family also has several birds. In order to pay for all the bird seed and special diets, I make cruelty free feather jewlery and earrings from the feathers that the birds shed naturally. Check them out at my other shop, www.frogworks.etsy.com

When I’m not making things, which isn’t that often, I love to read, mainly adventure and fantasy type stories. JRR Tolkien and Terry Pratchett are two of my all time favorite writers. I also enjoy scavenging the woods near my home for edible mushrooms, there is just something magical about finding them, and they are all so strange and fascinating with their amazing life cycles. And of course there are all the exotic parrots and peacocks to chat with at my house.
