Hi Come on in. Glad you could make it to my little shop, Fantasy Design.

I JEWEL with a "Twink of Magic".☮☮☮☮
I LOVE Designing in all kinds of different mediums. I adore Gemstones and Gemstone beads. I also like other baubles and trinkets such as Swarovski Crystals which I use a lot in my jewelry pieces. On the other hand though, I also love to work with Paper and I am a impassioned colorist, using professional markers like Prismacolor & Blick. I also LOVE to work with Fabric. Like Chinese silk and Indian Sari fabrics with Golden threads running through it.

I am a Wife & Mother to three children. I was blessed with 2 boys and a lovely daughter. Both the boys have made me a Grandma. I am now a Grandma happily helping to teach and love my Grand-Daughter who lives with me full time along with her Papa. Her name is Star and she is 8. What a joy she is! Her fav gem is a Ruby!! Sometimes I wonder who is helping who since it changes from day to day.
I use to be a Dog-owner councilor, as well as taught children in 4H how to train & show their dogs. My favorite dog breed is the elegant & noble Collie. I was very active in training, showing, & breeding Collies. Health problems have slowed me down. I have a collie as one of my best friends. His name is Champion Mountainprides Cloudtreader. He is very special as he is a WHITE Collie and a CHAMPION whom I bred myself after 9 generations of hard genetic work.
I have, my whole life been attracked to Gems. I have always made my own gemstone necklaces. In the past few years this attraction has grown to an addiction. I currently am either creating, One of a Kind jewelry pieces or am designing cards and envelopes out of wonderful patterned cardstock or fabrics that shimmer and shine. The only problem with working in my own home is the hours that I put in which is usually around 12-18 hours a day. I love it! It is a great outlet for me, to still be designing & createing & working with color, which I truly love♥ I have so many ideas in my head. I just need to get them out. My decision to open a shop and to Sell on Etsy was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.!! Yay for ETSY.☮❀♥
If interested, I also have 4 other "little shops". I am the sole proprietor, designer, creator, seller, and I do all the packaging and shipping of ALL 5. No one else but me. Below are the names and links. Thanks so much for sticking around & reading all this. Your welcome to drop in anytime and have a cup of tea or coffee with me, or perhaps something a bit stronger once in awhile. You see I am open 24 hours a day!!

❀ JEWELING
It is very interesting when I start a new piece of Jewelry. I need to get all the colors together. The color of Precious Gembeads need to match just right, I am so particular that just that can take up to forty min. Then I need to decide on the metal color either silver or gold. Then The Gems that need to be set, and these need to be set in a matching metal, and match all the Gembeads that I have chosen as well. Then of course the bail, if I am making one or using one that I bought. Then finally the toggle closure. It usually takes me a few hours at least, before I even start on a necklace.

The main focus of my jewelry is Real Gemstones and Gem beads. All of my work is hand made by me and truly unique. It all comes from out of my little head. I truly love Gems in their natural state but I also appreciate man stepping in sometimes and strengthening them or making thier colors more vivid. Most of my work is a one of a kind. I don't repeat items. Each piece is New! Where does the Inspiration come from? I have no idea. Its just there always begging to come out & play!!☮❀♥

Making glass beads is called lampworking because hundreds of years ago, artisans heated glass using oil lamps. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, Glass beadmaking is an ancient art, and has been practiced for more than 3000 years but throughout history the art of making glass beads has been shrouded in secrecy. Now the word is out and beadmakers willingly share information. Glass beads have been used for adornment, trade, currency and religious rituals in cultures all over the world. Many cultures have used, worn and traded glass beads, and they are still prized for their ornamental and collectible value today. It s hard to imagine a time when glass wasn t a part of everyday life, Glass objects were reserved for royalty in some cultures. In other societies, ownership of glass was regulated by price -- if you could afford the luxury of glass, it was yours. Glass can be cut and polished into faux gemstones, also be stretched and pulled into any shape imaginable. It s no wonder that creative people throughout the world choose to express their artistic talents with glass. How Lampwork Beads are Made? To create glass beads, lampworkers melt narrow rods of glass with the flame of a torch. The molten glass is wound around a mandrel, a thin length of stainless steel. The space occupied by the mandrel becomes a hole through the bead when the bed is slipped away. Turning the mandrel and holding it in different positions allows gravity to help the bead take form, but tools are also used to push and pull glass beads into shape. Lampworking is a skill that takes a great deal of practice and patience.
