About

FastSoft Press is a store inspired by my fascination with the mysterious and not so mysterious activities of the natural world and the desire to connect it with adolescence and childhood. Here, you can find limited-edition prints, handmade books, original paintings, drawings, collages, and embroidery.

In my work I tend to move back and forth between several different mediums and often end up combining them in the process. Printmaking is my first love though and I am still amazed by the way it pushes me creatively and physically. I also really love to make books and started out like most book artists behind a copy machine at Kinkos making small batches of zines. My current bookwork is inspired by playful sketches of imaginary environments that highlight the connections between all types of growth and change;animal, plant, and human.
Recently, I have started embroidering my designs and drawings onto fabric, book covers, and canvas tote bags. I have always been attracted to sewing and have played around with it off and on throughout my life-especially coming from a family of women who sew and sew well. Its exciting though to be able to use my own drawings in the process and to see their transformation into stitches.

I hope you'll enjoy my little shop!
