I am a stay-at-home mother who raises four wonderful children on 11 acres in Saskatchewan, Canada. We homeschool our children as a lifestyle and I myself love learning so it is a good fit for us. I have been knitting, crocheting and tatting since I was around 8. All taught by my wonderful Swedish grandmother. My German grandmother also did incredible intricate crocheting.
In the last 5 years I have been teaching myself to spin (that lesson may never be over). I adore spinning as it allows me to really 'tune in' to each fiber. My love for knitting was what led me to go 'backwards' so to speak. I went from knitting, to spinning, to cleaning and carding and dyeing fiber, which inevitably led to raising the fiber animals (starting with Angora Goats and then into sheep).
