Hello to all who are here to visit my shop. Let me start by saying I am not very good about talking about myself and hope all of you will understand. I started sewing at a young age and was taught by my grandmother who taught me to sew, knit, crochet and other handiwork. I wasn't so hot at the knitting and crocheting but loved the sewing machine! I made all sorts of weird things (much to her disapproval). I got a sewing machine and a set of luggage(I guess that was a hint to move out) for my graduation from her. I still have the sewing machine and the luggage some twenty years later! I tend to keep everything.I have loved cats my whole life being born a Leo I saw it as a sign. I made a crapload of mistakes in my personal life but my kitties were always there, never judging or frowning at my faults and lack of sense at times. I got involved in cat rescue when I realized I could make a difference and could control my own life and what I could do and not do. I began making the beds you see here, to raise money to take care of kitties whom no one wanted due to physical, emotional, mental disabilities and trauma. I specialized in the biters, the urinators, the hiders, the ones who were never understood just to easy to dispose of. I still today have the most troubled cases and they are able to stay with me till the end comes for them. I have made these beds for the love of them and to give them a comfort some of them had never known until coming to live with me (now they are severely spoiled)! I love color and wanted them to look good in their relaxation so I looked for colorful fabrics and comfy cushiony types to create beds that were also machine washable and dryer safe since I wash them so frequently. These beds have paid for many surgeries, many emergency visits, and unfortunately many last goodbyes. It is never enough so here I am on Etsy trying to help care for many of them in their golden years as age brings more ailments and more vet visits than working an outside job can handle. I have made them for many kitties and little dogs too, many of whom are the veterinaians and their staff. They have also sold them for me at times knowing how I needed to pay for numerous problems with my furries.I love making the beds and love jewelry and the colors and textures involved, so I combined the two to help the kitties first and to help pay bills for all of us here in the world of my home. I sincerely thank you for visiting and hope I have not rambled too long.
