I've loved making things since I was little when my mum first introduced me to her sewing machine. Since then I have taught myself knitting, crochet, counted cross stitch, embroidery and millinery, plus dabbled in a few other things along the way.
My Etsy shop is in named in honour of my knitting hero - my grandma - Dorothy May. She always had a knitting project on the go, and loved making things for family and friends alike. When she sadly passed away, I wanted to remember that part of her by preserving the patterns she collected throughout her knitting life as wife, mother and grandmother. Some of the patterns in my shop are part of that collection, but I have also added some gems of my own.
I also make and sell vintage inspired hats. I love the creative process of translating a client's thoughts and ideas into a truly unique piece of headwear.
