About

I'm a happy stay-at-home mom! I'm married to a wonderful, funny, gregarious man. We have two little boys that are good sports about modeling mommy's warm creations even in the middle of summer. What troopers.

My shop is comprised of crocheted items that I make in my spare time at home, with the exception of my crocheted flower brooches. Those are made by both me and my mother, who helps me out of the goodness of her heart. :)

I started crocheting when I was about 8 years old. My mom is an expert doily maker and she passed along the art of crocheting to me. My skills improved over the years, but I couldn't seem to get fired up about crocheting because there are only so many doilies a person needs (I made one and that was enough...) and I only had so many friends to crochet afghans for.

I looked and looked for patterns for trendy accessories to make, but everything seemed so cheesy. It wasn't until I got married and had my first son that I finally started discovering patterns I really liked. Eventually I started designing my own patterns, and now I find myself in a place where my creativity has a wonderful outlet and I can dream and create to my heart's content. At least during the part of the day when I'm not changing diapers and singing the alphabet song.

I find inspiration in color and fashion. I like a good opportunity to get out of my peanut-butter smeared clothes and pretend like looking cute is my job. I'm also into Jesus, music, photography, interior design, mothering, being a pioneer, trying to be green, cloth diapering, blogging, traveling, and other various and sundry things that I can't call to mind right now.
