After missing the 4:15 bus out of Phoebus, Amy found herself walking through several antique stores, thus discovering another passion--mixed media art. Her love of photography and the written word and her desire to rekindle the beautiful lost art of letter writing prompted her to begin creating her handmade cards.
Amy has painted children's murals, using acrylics, but primarily enjoys the imaginative and dreamy world of mixed media collage...combining vintage imagery and ephemera with unique modern sentiments. She loves the creative outlet that her art provides, not to mention the newfound flexibility in her schedule and the precious time she can spend with her daughter and son.
"Real mail" makes her spirits soar..and paint...and glitter...and fairies...and flowers...and ink...and pretty paper...and ribbon...and photography...and mermaids...and stamps...and boxes...and bottles...and, well, you get the idea...
