About

My passion for jewelry design began as a young girl and has developed over many years of design experience in architecture. This adventure started when I made a pair of wood doe earrings for myself that I wore every day along with some earrings for my friends and family. Pretty soon total strangers began asking me where they could buy a pair, so I decided to start selling them along with necklaces, cuff links, tie clips, and belt buckles.

Frawn began with three collections consisting of wild animals, objects and patterns from the built environment, and patterns from my grandmothers home. It has expanded to bold painted pieces with geometric patterns, color blocking, and splatter patterns. The magnetic lockets are my newest addition and they are a modern twist on the tradition hinged locket.

I use a range of wood that I either etch or cut out depending upon the species. Every item is hand sanded and finished with polyurethane to protect the wood and the paint. I make every item sold in this shop personally except when things get really hectic with fairs and holiday orders. That's when my mom will join me in the the production end and my husband will help assemble the cards and price items.

Many laser cut wood jewelry is not finished, but as a woman who wears jewelry in the northwest, I know how important it is to protect them from the environment, make-up and our own skin. Plus, I want everything that you buy from my shop to be an active part of your wardrobe for as long as possible. So you can rest assured that each object has been made to last! :)

Even though the images are the same, no two earrings are alike due to the natural variations in the wood grain. Some even have beautiful knots that add to the uniqueness of each item. If you prefer to have an earring with the knot, please let me know, otherwise I do not include any in the etsy sales.

If you have your own idea for a custom order please convo me. I have made MANY custom products of relatives, pets, cd covers, company logos and much more! It's one of my specialties, and it's just really fun.
