It all started in the fall of 2002. I returned to Israel from several years of wanderings and journeys and I realized that I have nothing to wear. After lengthy stays in tropical areas, my wardrobe included only very comfortable clothes, especially light Thai fishermen pants. In the meantime, fall turned to winter and the dropping temperatures together with the local style decree threatened to put me back into Jeans. But my heart wanted more freedom. Instead of conceding, I decided to combine.
That winter was especially exciting and indulgent. I sewed my first successful winter style of fishermen pants- apparently the first sweat fishermen pants in the world. At that point, I did not work with Velcro, but rather with string ties, yet the rumor spread around and the pants were snatched quickly.
